Well, I didn't properly introduce myself yet, so I thought, "why not?"

Anyways, currently I own a 2001 Civic EX with a pretty diverse collection of wheels (yeah, I'm big on them, and no, none of them are cheap knock-off's), but I'm thinking of getting rid of the Civic for something a little more "up-scale".

Some cars/vans that have been interesting to me:
G35 Coupe
LS400
Y33
RB1/2
RA6
1st Gen Previa
and many more...

Just a couple quick opinion/personal experience questions I have for anyone willing to answer them:

1. I'd like to maintain a 24+ mpg fuel efficiency, what would be the most realistic model line and/or vehicle model that would be able to perform in that range?

2. I'd rather not pay over $5,000 /yr for insurance (clean driver history), what are some of you paying for insurance?

3. I'm looking to spend about $20,000 (includes the trade-in value of my car, I've had it appraised) on a VIP vehicle, including Air Runner's (or equivalent air ride suspension, possibly coilovers), any suspension bits I may need, a decent lip kit or body kit, and exhaust setup. Any recommendations/suggestions that could come in handy? (I'd rather not buy someone else's project, sorry)

you are looking at a 10k vehicle for the mods that you will want to do. think about 10k towards the mods that you want. OR if you research a little bit, your best bang for your buck, even though it's more money, grab an LS430 Ultra Luxury. Comes STOCK with air suspension (you have to buy a controller to get it to work how you want it, but that's another story). that's what is going to take the most out of your budget, is the suspension. next is wheels. you want new? used? flush? not flush?

and, last, whatever you look into getting, it's all in your preference. if you want a vip car, stick with the big body sedans (ls400/430/460/600[hehe], q45,gs300/400/430 etc)

I appreciate you taking the time to give me a little run down on what's what. I've never heard of that controller trick for the LS430, so that's pretty slick. But, I wouldn't worry too much on what rims I get. You could say it's not my first time around JDM rims.

I currently own the following:
16x7.5 +34 SSR Reverse Mesh (Silver/Polish)

16x7 +47 Rennsport/Carving Stark (White/Purple)

16x6.5 +37 Pirelli Mesh (White/Polish)

16x7 & 16x8 +38 SSR Auswuch EF (Full Polish)

16x7 & 16x8 +38 SSR Schumacher (Silver/Polish)

16x7 +38 Hasemi Stings (Gunmetal Gray/Polish)

16x7 +10 Fushimi Racing (CF centers/White Caps)

Just last week, I bought a set of Work Equips, for a friend. 18x10.5 +10 and 18x11.5 +3, for all of $500 shipped. And, no, they weren't mangled.
