Hello all, just wanted to introduce myself and give some background info before posting around on this site. Let me just say that I have grown to love VIP cars and VIP styled cars. I used to be very heavy into the drift/ Nissan 240
scene, and I still am to some extent. But it seems like after drifting has exploded onto the mainstream, the 240sx owners egos have ballooned tremendously, and more and more goofballs want to break into, vandalize and steal our
cars. The first time I noticed the VIP style, was in a Lexus GS I saw on the road. It was black, grounded and clean. It had Toyota Aristo badges, and at the time, I didn't know what it was. I researched it, and I've been hooked ever
since. So anyway, I've snooped around this site as a guest long enough, and I like it a lot. Great job on all of the member's rides, especially LexAristo's car. :smitten: Here are some pics of my current ride, a 1992 Nissan 240sx with a
CA18DET motor. Hopefully near the summer of this year I'lll get into some kind of VIP car, maybe an old school Q or a GS!

Most all CA engines exported out of Japan are in crappy condition... as an engine, when new, they aren't bad. But the thing that IS bad is the mentality of most people who go with CA swaps in the US. 99% of them go with the CA in lieu of the SR cuz they can't afford the SR. Prob is, instead of realizing that fact, they spread deluded lies about how the reason they went with the CA is cuz it can rev to 9K, or that its iron block allows them to make more hp, etc. Yet, they don't even have the least bit of money to mod the engine to get anywhere near its potential, so any possibility of taking advantage of the iron block is nill. And then when someone does get around to building up a CA (usually cuz it's so crapped out it requires a rebuild), they realize, oh, it's not as awesome as I thought..

Well, the main reason I got the CA is not because I could not afford the SR, its because everyone else had it. I thought to myself, there has to be some other engine's that I can put in this car! I did some research, and I found out about the CA, and it turns out in the UK, that engine is basically ALL they have over there, and they have a pretty good following. Its true, I did have some problems with it at first, but its doing good now. It won't matter once I get my VIP car anyway.
