the g50 isnt a platform that has a lot of air support in japan, or america. i believe the reason is due to the lack of clearance and suspension design in front of the car.
it is not impossible to get air on the g50. i know at least my g50s have had air (both cylinder, and bag-over) and so does one ton's g50 as of current (air strut). not sure if there are any others in the usa with air on the g50.

oh, this is great!
i shared my experience on the old forums years ago, and i think it's time to slander EAI (Excentrix Automotive Innovations) once again!
this was several years ago... i was looking for an air suspension kit for my g50. i found a company in canada that promised a bolt-on kit with custom mounts for my year/make/model. i got excited and ordered the kit right away. most of the parts were dropped shipped from usa vendors, and the air cylinders (air struts weren't common place at the time) were finally shipped with a set of brackets that to this day make me laugh.
luckily the brackets attached to the cylinders, BUT!
1) they were for a honda accord, when i had an infiniti q45
this was all a complete joke, and i worked for months for retribution from EAI and their "fabricator" called the Hack Shop [or something like that]. i would call eai and they would tell me they shipped the proper brackets to me, then i'd hear nothing from them for a few weeks, and call again. then they would tell me they are still mocking up the brackets. this cycle continued with lie upon lie until i finally looked up the company owner's name in the BBB listing and called asking to speak to them. of course i was not put on the phone with them, but was connected to another individual who answered for him. i threatened to file a BBB case in their name and they said they would send out the brackets.
a week later i get the brackets... BUT!
1) they did not easily mount to the upper brackets on the car (which should have been provided as a "complete kit"
2) the lower mounts did NOT attach to the car, they were so universal, it was a joke
3) IF everything would have attached to the car, the full down (0 psi in cylinder) height would have raised the car approximately 8 inches from stock height
the company in canada at this point stopped dealing with EAI, and i too, admitted defeat. i had taken a huge monetary loss and still didn't have a kit that would fit my car.
i ended up spending more money on parts, asking friends to help with their different areas of expertise, and finally got a setup installed on my car.
air suspension isn't something easy, and it isn't something that is really dialed in. companies in the usa sell generic fitting parts, and are usually close to your requirements, but usually aren't even in metric sizes. no one in the usa has stepped up to make air suspension for large japanese sedans, so far as i know... especially the q45.
this is my 2 cents.

thanks for all your input! so if I want air it will be more than likely custom work?
