HOw many of you started out EXE and then drifted to what I call the dark side.../VIP\
/ - - \
llll

I started out really liking the EXE styling of the VIP scene and I still do however, It seems as time
passes I am more into VIP style aggressive fitments and all..I call it the dark side because when you come from a land were I don't want to mess my car up for camber or for wider wheels to a land where you do strange things to make it work...seems like your whole perspective changes.

don't get me wrong I will always love a well put together EXE car but what floats my boat is the more aggressiveness to the style..not so much all that fiber glass and crazy pipes and lights and air vents with ferrari kits..not that all but a more aggressive stance, pulled fenders slammed to the max, streched to the max..is it just me or did I catch a case of the VIP bug...??

How many of you are like this or starting to become this way..started out mild and now are wild????

Now when I look at a stock fender ed Q's they look skinny or when I am driving around town and look at peoples fitment I think damn that's ugly..to much gap..LOL....seems like a lot has changed with the way I see cars now... What are you going to do:pat: fogetta bout it. :yahoo_101:

I'm still not into going batshit insane Vip cars (I can't see myself doing that), but like you, I've been getting really critical of fitment on cars these days!

Rich, you know from my emails that I'm getting bored with my mild side and want a more aggressive wheel size. I started getting stuff for my car that was readily available at the time, now that there's more options for 19x10/11's, I'm ready to switch up wheels now. Who knows, maybe even switch up the car and get an F50 and start over, but this time around more hardcore aggresive.

I went from Wild to Mild.

First vip car was a widebody Y31 cima with 6" blister fenders, 18x11 & 18x13 wheels, crazy kit and twin exhaust pipes that could fit a foot in each. Oh and it was bright metallic pink. I then painted it black/purple but it was still as subtle as a brick to your face

This was the look that first got me into vip styling a few years ago and i will always have appreciation for it.

Then i started noticing the styles in the mags changing and getting mellower. Initially i thought the milder non-widebody style was boring and would end up killing the scene, but soon i began to like it, and hence my decision to sell it and concentrate on my Cedric (Which was initially bought for spare parts for my Cima). I wanted to do something like the Garage Magical Cima and i am some of the way there.

But the real mild cars with minimal drops and no camber (exe style?) still do nothing for me. I flick past them in the mags, and when i see them on the street i barely give them a second glance. For me VIP has always been extreme. Before it was extreme bodykits and exhausts, now it is extreme camber and extremely slammed. Anything else is "meh..."

When I came across this style it was the elegant yet semi aggressive cars that attracted me like the Junction Produce LS and GS John built both clean and classy but not too extreme. Now the first thing I look at is how aggressive or not the wheel fitment and stance are if not so much than it bores me like I never thought Id be doing all I am to my b just to get some wheels to fit the way I want kinda crazy but cool in a sense. Back on topic Im definitely into the milder kits now like the Aimgain Euro for the GS\Aristo it makes the car different but is not too dramatic. I guess the more you get into this thing what we like will change from time to time.

i have always stayed tru to the EXE styling aspect of vip car tuning... i love such brands as inspection, insurance and other wild aero kits and distinct vip styling cues (big body, big kits, big rims, etc., etc.) and have respect for both the EXE and the VIP styles! rich you on your wayy brah! mean the veilsides! and i can't wait to see more "dark side" mods dude... i bought some fender vents which i will post up after i install them :) also rocked some m3-style lip trunk spoiler.... i think i got 2 of them. will let u know. alohaz from the 808 mayng... payce! mikey

exe is too limited. it's all about the in between. crazy vip like dom's cima ( which looked fricken awesome) can be nice, yet sometimes it's too extreme. i like the tuned cars where the body kit isn't too crazy, and the wheels still fit very well.

I always bought my wheels first, then make it fit....by hook or by crook.

So I guess that's a no?
