YEah I still have alot of room..It would be about an .5-1" lower it it was not for my driveway and since It does not see pavement everyday no way am I parking it in on the sidewalk..might just have to hold off on aero and get some bags to through over my coilovers...If I slam it more I could probably use a 25mm spacer..

VERY NICE!
How did you adjust the camber in your front?

Pancakes,
Jic COilovers come with adjustable camber plates:dance: Thats one of the perks:biggthumpup:

However you can purchase adjustable camberplates that will fit on your current set up should you want them hit up Beji as he just got some not to long ago.

looking good man did you use extended studs with the spacers just throw them on or are they bolt on? i need a set for teh front of my q45 but the stock studs seem short

zion_97
07-15-2007, 10:29 AM
Thanks Dawg,
YEah stock studs seem a little short...I got extended lugs to go with these slap on spacers..When the spacers are this small if you get the bolt on adpaters your wheels have to have indendtions behind the wheel to allow for the stock lugs other wise you will need to go with a 25mm that hides the lugs within..

As always looking good.

But, is that the max the JIC's will allow for the camber adjustment in the front?

Yeah thats the max that I can get out of them:sad: ..I guess next step would be adjustbale arms of some sort..I am going to have to look into it any ideas?

Not sure as to how much camber.. here is a photo..you can see where it use to be and where it is now..I am guess from the line on the balljoint and set to 0 on the camber would be 0 right..but then you can count 7 lines back but then that would be -7 degrees wich is no way..so I have no clue..I am seen those meters you can use on your wheels to give you procise messurments.I am actually hunting for one at a good price..

AAAAAA I will check tomorrow and see if there are slots for all four screws and if that is an option..that would be great  ..Do you know if they just should just unscrew and screw back in..or do I have to mess around and take the coilovers out? Seems like I should be able to just jack up the car and unscrew and move them..IF that the case I will order some 25mm adapters and push these babies out more to mach the back..

not sure exactly, but it looks like you could get even more camber by moving the inner screws to the next lower hole. you would hit the upper ball mount on the cars strut opening though. but a quarter inch is a quarter inch right?

and to be extreme you could always grind the strut opening open a little more!

MOre pics for you guys....Washed here real quick before the rain...
Benji if you read this camber does = more drop..I scraped a lot more than usual on my way down and up my driveway...just look at the spacing between the ground and the middle of the car in the last picture, not much room at all..must have droped about .5"-1" not from the fender but the ground.

A bodykit will finish this car off. Now you have to answer alot of questions from local folks..."something wrong with yer wheels right der"

AME_VIP

are the fronts a little sunk now? I would probably ad some camber back in to make the fronts more flush.

yeah they are sunckn in now but not for long..Once I get a 25mm wheel adapter spacer in there it will most likely have a nice little poke .*)

monopolizedinc
07-16-2007, 07:13 PM
maybe im not grasping your ideas but why would you want to add spacers just to keep camber? if you strighten the wheel out to loose the gap you will be doing 2 things at once... loosing the gap and saving your tires

but then again adding the 25mm spacers and all the camber will just drop your car that little bit more mmmm it can honestly be a hard decision

firelizard
07-16-2007, 07:15 PM
Is the camber on front just for looks then? Or are you trying to clear something in the fender?

Becuase I am trying to achieve a certain flow with my car...I want the fronts and rears to look the same...I dont want one with heavy camber and the other one with little or none. If the rear did not call for such heavy camber nor would I be messing with the fronts...but i am picky like that...when I see cars with alot of camber in the rear and the fronts are sticking straight up and down I think hhmmm something looks out of place...just my opion and persoanl prefference..

Is the camber on front just for looks then? Or are you trying to clear something in the fender?

No its not all for looks, Well The thing is I want to have more poke in the front. To mach my rear tires..The rear is a 10.5"and the front a 9"..So In my eyes when I look at it from the front of the car I think the front wheels are poking out enough.. It draws are your attention to the rear..What I am after is having the fronts and rears mach a liitle more..So in order for me to push out the fronts where I want them I will need the added camber for clearance in my fenders other wise I will rub the tire agianst the inner fender..and I am not about to try to pull my fronts after my expierence with the back...lol...

What do you think looks better side to side:

with little camber
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j298/q45t07/2-2.jpg
with max camber

vip is camber.

Going flush without camber does not look vip, it looks like 90% of honda guys who accidentally get 'poke' with anything under +50 offset.

I'm surprised to see questions about saving tyres; if it was all about that then we would stick with normal offsets and we would be using camber kits to correct camber!

To answer your question Zion, of course camber upfront looks better (would be kind of funny to say otherwise after my rant :))

Thanks Dennis. YEah I mine seems to be more ivory than a white...maybe its cause mines an 97 and yours is a newer..I know with the lexus lx470..the white pearl they used from like 98-02 is more yeallow has a gold pearl in than the newwer ones which are more white with a silver pearl in it...thats my best guest..New wheels maybe in the future...I really like these that I have..the way they look,,there lips and the way the look when they spin...Its been real hard to find all that in one wheel for me. It would be nice though to have something new in the same sizes....*)

The fronts will get spaced out but the rears can not..if you saw it in person you would no what I mean..the rear tires are very close to the upper part of the fender..anything more and it will rub..

The ramp on my fenders is for my sons skateboard..its a luanch ramp...lol...I am just waiting to get it fixed till I get an aero kit so I can do it all at the same time.

Nice Zion, nice!!! It definately matches the rear, the offset on the rear wheel is -10 right? I do have a question for the rear camber, all you did was adjust you rear eccentrics right, man that's hella cambered. When you get it aligned post up your results front & rear camber, toe, and caster.

I have 01 Q45t 19x9.5 +6 and 19x10.5 -1 Amistad Dish, here are my specs:
