I saw a set at Super Autobacs - and for the life of me, I can't remember the brand right now - but they were super expensive. Something like $300 for a set of 10 LEDs. I'm going to make my own.

I picked up the eurolite firelights (puddle lights) before they were sold out. I can still get a few from a local store that has old stock. No white though :( 4 per side. I hooked them up to see the light but haven't completed the install until my bodywork is finished.
The scionlife's look pretty good!

Nice! How does your friend have them activated? I have mine hooked up to my door lamps so they're only on when im getting in and out of the car. I gotta figure out the wiring to get it to fade in and outwith my dome lights when I lock/unlock the doors. As for it being rice, it'll be the day when guys are putting it on their Civics and driving around with them on like they're the new "hot" underbody glow kit.

The www.jlevisw.com puddle lamps come with angling brackets, but i suggest using krazyglue or some 3m industrial strength double sided tape to mount the actual led to the bracket and then angle them, the doublesided tape they come with isn't too strong.

I saw the Varad ones in a local parts store called Lordco.* *They may stock them at Pep boys or equivalent in the US
I'm going to install mine this week finally. The hardest part is going to be finding a spot to run the wire under the car. I'm thinking of mounting on the body of the car instead of the side skirts so they are hidden .
actolex and JT are yours mounted on the side skirts?

Hey JT, the pattern and color on your car's LED lights is that because of the garage floor? Or is it the type of LED's?
Cars posted here all look good.

The ones I put on my car have 5 LEDs per puddle light (White) I also put them on the sideskirts........... I had my skirts drilled out to to fit the light and LESS then 1/2 stick out. Once we figured out how we wanted them we put adhesive (BACK SIDE) to hold them in place. The adhesive is super strong if one goes bad I think I have to drill the LED out.
The double stick tape I already knew I WASNT going to use when i got them. Running the wire up into the car was the easy part.
I ran 5 on each side.......... they are so bright at night im glad i didnt go with 6.

Mine are like 3/4" but only about 1/4" is showing........... I did it that way so it looks cleaner.
Heres a pic from my cell phone........ the nice clear section shows up out side the skirt and the part I marked with black is hidden behind.
I hope this helps if you wanted to see a pic of how they look like at night NO NEED they all look the same lite up :buck2:

those look the same as mine. I'm not sure why I said 3-4mm as they are actually thicker.
So I need to drill large holes and put the back side on the top of the skirt, then screw on the cover once its poking through the bottom.

The ground you're on can definitely affect how the lights look... here's the reflection off semi-clean bare cement
http://www.onetongarage.com/underconst/ant14.jpg
What you end up seeing is the light emitted from the LED (arrays), and then the reflection of the actual LEDs...looks cool imo

NO NO i didnt screw anything into mine............ the back side is like inside of the skirt. the only part that shows is the small area of the puddle light. Mine is held on with some kind of super strong adhesive that kind of looks like bondo when its hard but its jelly like when it comes out of the tube.
If i screwed it in alot of the puddle light housing would be sticking out............ look under the skirt now only like 1/4" you can see I think its better then 3/4" showing.
I seen one the other day he double sticked his to the skirt......... yeah at night looks good but during the day it sticks out too much you can see them. Im NOT saying how it should be done cause everyone that has some did it thier way.........
THIS IS MY WAY!! is it right or wrong I dont know but it sure does look good :smitten:

thats exactly what I want to avoid.* I think its too thick to just stick to the side skirt.* *thanks for the advice

when i put them in i use hot glue to seal all connections and also put a crapload all over the housing so nothing can get it. works awesome.

Hey I'm new here and I live in the bay. I'm okay with dig jobs except I don't mess with drilling. Do you guys know any shop where I can get these installed at professionally? P.s. Im trying to hook them up to my fogs so they turn on at night only when I lock/unlock my car an I can manually turn them on when I turn my fogs on

The wiring isn't actually too hard, I did it myself. with a full day I was able to remove the skirts, drill holes and wire them up, they click together and then run up into the dome light.... so long as you plan it, its VERY do-able by yourself
