I'm the kind of guy who would rather make my own parts instead of shelling out money for overpriced parts. That being said, has anyone made rear center consoles for their cars? I'd like to carry my center console (03 Lincoln LS) into the back seats and have it meet the middle flip down arm rests to look like one long console. Then I'll put a TV in it, DVD player, etc. Has anyone done anything like this or can link me to other sites where I can get more information?

Also looking for people who have made their own curtains, rather than bought them. I'm mainly going to be making them so I know they are the perfect size but I'm curious to see what other people may have used for rails, etc.

Build a frame and all flat parts out of wood, then use fiberglass for the curves. Pretty much exactly like building a speaker box, except you'll put a TV and DVD player in it, so you'll have to make slots for those in your frame design.

That's what I was figuring on. I'm going to wrap it in leather obviously, as opposed to paint. The way my existing console is shaped I was thinking of using dowel rods for the edges, since my edges are rounded but the console is just straight, flat and even.

I've seen your work over on ClubXB, Orataro. I like the table alot but I'm going for a factory look to extend my center console.
