It looks photoshopped *:)
IMO, the kit looks like it got hacked from another car and just tried to blend w/ this car.

so do the wheels
how are you going to sell your products if you seller/producer cant even show the real deal w/o a background fade?

''VIP style" do a bit of research and you'll understand why wont take you seriously
it looks more like a wannabe factory options kit.

it is a factory option kit in the making. Think resale, not custom VIP. I think constructive critism would work better than bashing. But thanks, its obvious some wont see this as VIP, but i just wanted some feedback on it. Its a real pic as well, just put on a background for website purposes.

If you post up more pics............. this isnt just a website.
Feel at ease posting up your pics and folks will take you more seriously.......... until then I agree w/ those that have posted so far and I dont think they are bashing you. You know how many come and go on this forum and most start off like you. We all want to believe you but give us a reason to and not to say NOT ANOTHER ONE

Looks a little too boy racer-ish imo... and that's not even a term I ever use, but it's the FIRST thing that entered my mind when I looked at the pics. The incongruous lines (esp in the bottom part of the front lip) move the overall look of the car away from luxury/classy, and more towards sporty... and thus, it segregates the car further away from "VIP" also. Hmmm, upon a cursory view, the front end actually looks like a Solara with the factory option lip... which is very un-VIP. Decent as a kit, since it's not extraordinarily gaudy, but it's definitely not VIP nor classy, so if that was your goal, then mission: unaccomplished. But if the goal was to just have a decent kit on the car, then I guess that's cool....

Here are a couple good pics

i think it may look better molded. but as is, it seems to add too many stark lines to the car, making it very heavy at the bottom. it doesnt look bad, but i wouldnt say it looks good.

Is the rear lip going to be left like that? I can still see the original lines from the OEM bumper.

I think that the kit makes the car look too chunky. Is it just me, or does the Zephyr look like a "done up" Camry?

Im confused, (to the person above) That looks just like the kit on the car excepts its molded and sitting on the ground. What i showed you guys was a car that you can buy with those parts, so if you bought it you could put air ride on it and mold the kit and call it a day right? In any case, i do agree with "car lost" We are taking one of the lines on the side of the rear bumper out and smoothing it out. Although in real life it still looks good, i think both stlyes will be offered so people have a choice.

on the image V8_aristo posted... the side skirts are smaller, the rear lip is smoother, and there is not indentation on the front lip. it looks a lot cleaner. it doesnt make it look like its an add-on... he made it look more like an extension of the stock lines.

If you're confused then I don't know what else to tell you. To me (and maybe a few other on this board), would consider your kit and my photoshop to be a night and day difference.

Its night and day for me. Here are some of the glarring differences. More importantly... if you cant look at these two cars and see why one looks vip and one looks like its trying to look vip, then that may be why you struggled in the first place to make a vip-styled kit.

Zephyr is front wheel drive. Its the Lincoln variation of the Ford Fusion (Ford Mondeo in UK, I think).
When the car debut, I was really surprised how nicely it looked. The original kit described above doesnt fit the car's lines very well. It definitely needs a full front bumper, instead an add on lip. And the rear lower lip has too many lines. Maybe it would be 10 times better if it were molded.

Hey Ron, please keep it on topic. I only said what I said to let you know that if this Zephyr is going "VIPStyle", he's going the wrong way.
give him a break then....the zephyr will be a hard car to do..and hes taking a crack at it..i admire his drive to push the kit to a car that is marketed to the higher end society but is given little credit because it not jdm....adapting what he knows on the the zephyr with a little time can possibly be just as VIP as the 300c..and not everything "JDM" will work with it..but it can be adapted or interpreted...besides if he makes it too similar to an original VIP kit, then youll say hes trying to hard to copy it...cmon...
You guys should probably sweat the VIP 300c if your gonna sweat this guy..what about the street image avalon...im sure they got the same response when they first came out.. ;D
"I never claimed my car was styled VIP then and I know it's still not 100% to my liking now"
Poy you were rocking the VIPSTYLECARS.COM logo on your car when you were showing with us...i dont even have that sticker...* :o
Ease up on the new guy...pump your brakes...this is just version 1 and if the market is big..it will sell...version 2.. he can mold it and then he will be as you say " VIP"* ;)
id buy that kit if i had the zephyr...i dont think there are many option for that car...

Well, the kit certainly makes the base car look better. But I don't think he ever said it was going to be "VIP Style". For a first-time kit, I can see the need for keeping it simple and not doing full bumper replacements. But there still are things I'd do differently:
The front lip needs to be smoothed out more. Lose the crease in the middle, smooth out the stepped lip on the sides, and I'd probably flare the bottom of it forward just a tad so it doesn't look like a big slab front end. Remove the accent line on the sides.
I agree with yakuzaSoarer on the side skirts. Clip the tips that go up the wheel wells so that the top skirts are flat. Much cleaner look.
For the rear, I'd see if the kit could go up further to line up with the existing body line. De-emphasize and move the accent line up to match the bottom of the doors.
Maybe later I can photoshop what I'm talking about.

My mistake... just read his intro and said he was making a VIP Zephyr kit. doh! I still think it's workable... just needs some small tweaks to get a decent kit.

if i said i was trying to make a vip zephyr kit, then i mis spoke. I just felt that this was a VIP style Zephyr. Apparently i dont know about the general view of VIP STYLE. Take my definition of Vip to be the same definition HOT import nights has, high end vehicle modified in a classy way. I will retract the statement that its a VIP Zephyr if you guys really care that much. Thanks for the props those that enjoyed the pictures and the vehicle. Thanks for constructive critism too

no need to apologize or take ne thing back..theres a thin line when it comes to classy...some people see it as the fritz and glow of the spotlights and others see it as the smooth and quiet flowing, calm....its like the difference between Jay Z and Michael Buble... ;) both are classy in there own sense...besides being vip and vip "styled" are two different things...anyone can be vipstyled...not everyone can be vip...according to some ....

Thanks for undertstanding our point of view, and I am glad thats you see that there is a difference between the definitions. The style that we are developing here is the Japanese form of VIPstyle. Yes, it's both high end cars with classy modifications, but the differences are in the way the modifications are executed. As we are more concerned about the details than others out there. If you would look through the site, there are great examples and definition given.

It's probably too late to change the mold, but if you guys ever decide to make another kit that is VIP styled it might be a good idea to either make a full replacement bumper or make the lip a little smaller, sideskirts don't need to come up so high, and the rear lip does have too many lines on it, and the little ridge on the bottom of the sideskirts and the rear just throuw off the VIP look. Most people here want their cars to beas low as possible, and if you have a huge front lip like the one in the picture, you can't go too low and still drive the car.

i think its not that bad, i dont like the line that runs along the bottom of the sideskirt, unnecessary and ugly IMO. the rear lip is too chunky as well.
