are you going for an HID kit? because if so...just get those projector headlights off ebay, and then buy an aftermarket HID kit. go with phillips or mccullogh (sp?) those are the preffered aftermarket ones.'

maybe HID later, but im gonna go with some regular halogens for now.

i think some ucf-20 celsior lights would ser it off celisi-bb.....

bling bling but thats a long shot....

or else i think i saw it in the bb pic thread was the one with the frog eyes...

contored around the bottom of the lights that would also be a sick one too...

wait..why is this in electronics? and WHAT HEADLIGHT do you want to convert to? you seem like you dont really know what you want to do

i know exactly what i want to do.

i just dont wanna mention what kind of headlights im throwing in cause i have some friends and people from around me that lurk here and are trying to figure out what i want to do. i just want to know if putting in completely different headlights is hard. aside from all the bodywork and stuff like that which is covered. mainly is there gonna be any trouble for me on the electrical side?

nothing really that some solder and heat shrink tubing couldn't fix ;-)

i just put the 1st gen bB headlights on my xB with ease, the main differences is that the blinker only comes on when you blink, not while your driving, also, the 12 volt driving light comes on when you put your parking lights on...easy stuff to do, just don't be scared and do a clean job (no butt connectors and excess wire showing all over the place) ;)

best way to do it right imo is to also get a hold of the hood, grille, and fenders from the donor car, and also a bumper in fiberglass if possible... then cut and mend... cut and mend!

Wow, that's vague...
I think putting in current gen Celica headlights might require more work than Chevy Astro lights.
Anyways, get the buckets from the lights you're retrofitting, cut out yours, tack the other car's buckets in and cut and and weld until it's all smooth and even, then prime every once in a while to cover any bare metal and to check the smoothness. If it's not a front end conversion, I can't forsee the need to get the donor's hood and fenders, or bumper, especially considering the xB's shape.

Any thing is posable depends on your know how and pocket situation. I have done numorouse light swaps. Some looked like ASS but thats what the customer wanted and some looked really hot.

I did a set of majesta lights into an oddesy along with a wide body. The lights so much resembled the factory that nobody noticed. In my opinion they looked like ass with that one round yellow light in them. The popular thing now other than the f50 lights is to smooth and buff the inside of the outer light plastic and then throw the f50's or HID'S in them.

DXJP, have you done any F50 conversions on a Y32 Cedric/Gloria Gran Tourismo before? Due to the twin headlight design it looks very easy to get them in there, but i'm more concerned about waterproofing the F50 projectors since they would not be inside a headlight housing like regular conversions...

Something which is pretty high on my wishlist now that i have the coilovers/wheels on the way
