quote from newbie..

if i said i was trying to make a vip zephyr kit, then i mis spoke.* I just felt that this was a VIP style Zephyr.* Apparently i dont know about the general view of VIP STYLE.* Take my definition of Vip to be the same definition HOT import nights has,* high end vehicle modified in a classy way.* I will retract the statement that its a VIP Zephyr if you guys really care that much.* Thanks for the props those that enjoyed the pictures and the vehicle.* Thanks for constructive critism too

the moderator response..

Thanks for undertstanding our point of view, and I am glad thats you see that there is a difference between the definitions. The style that we are developing here is the Japanese form of VIPstyle. Yes, it's both high end cars with classy modifications, but the differences are in the way the modifications are executed. As we are more concerned about the details than others out there. If you would look through the site, there are great examples and definition given.

time and time again..we go at this..quote is from a moderator talking about the difference between vip and vipstyle on the forum for a kit on a lincoln zephyr..it was taken from the technical section in the forum about exteriors....are the euros included in this too? or the boxes and vans..are they are considered high end in japan.??.???

Do you all agree..i got a jdm, high end car..so im not really affected.. ;) techinically its not even high end ne more..cause its outdated....hmm..maybe i am affected... :idiot2:

I agree, Vip = that special group of high end Japanese cars. But Vip style just works so well, it has pretty much taken vans, compacts, and euros under its wing as "foster kids".

Like Robert has gone over before... Your not seeing the older VIP Cars in the clubs in Japan. However, in the US, we don't have enough enthusiast to be that picky.

give it up RASRX7
who cares VIP or VIP Style and who can rightfully claim either. why the big debate?!?!? well the same reason why its infinity not nissan and its lexus not toyota and so on. WE LOVE MONEY AND LOVE TO SHOW OUR MONEY ......sad
FACE IT- what WILL happen with the VIP/Style in the US is going to be the same as the fate of the JDM trend. pardon my vocab ''raped'' beyond recognition and left for dead til the next thing, literally.
dont be surprised that within the next year or so ''music'' videos will feature our beloved LS430 on 28's with a big gold pated ''VIP STYLE BALLER'' cutout hangin in the grill with a bunch of ''vip'' clich`e lyrics

if you ask me what's/who's VIP/VIP Style. i'll say those that stays consistent with the STYLE that ORIGINATED IN JAPAN on any platform and refuses to break from the mold.

-dont bother, thats my opinion, im stickin to it

Actually... I don't envision seeing "VIP" style cars in rap videos and such... that crowd will still stick to the same bling bling vehicles they have been, it's just that they will now call their Bentleys and Aston Martins and Ferraris (and Chryslers for the poorer homies)-whether on 22" made-in-Taiwan chromies, or even just stock- VIP cars. It's not necessarily a dissolution of the VIP car itself in the US, it's just a bastardization of the term.

What if the Japanese had always called "VIP" cars in Japan "assface-mobiles"... would we still be so proud to call our cars the same, just because the Japanese do it, too? Well, then again there are always those people who think that anything and everything "Japanesey" is better just because the Japanesians do it... even if it is, after all, quite ass face-ish. (These are the same people who basically think that if the Japanese do/have it, it MUST be better.)
