so i was driving to my girls work to drop her off some food, how nice huh, and i turned to get in a parking spot and i hear this bad rub. well there was a dip in the parking spot and i pulled my fender out like 6 inches around the well. PISSED. so i rushed back into my shop to fix it. all i had was heat guns, pliers, and a small jack handle. its drivable now but it pulled the fender out about 2 inches around. i wish i took before and after shots to show you guys but i wanted to bang the job out as soon as possible, we had a truck to pull in and slam out. its not bad but nowhere where it should be.

it flared out my fender 6" around, meaning 6" of the fender arc, not 6" inches out. now 2" of the arc looks pulled, not 2" pulled out. i know it sounds confusing, its making me mad, i doubt i'll sleep easy tonight. my workers said it looks better and i should do it to all 4, but i wont.

exact same thing happened to me. turning left in the middle of the street to make a U turn, coming to a stop with the wheel turned... pulled it out just like you explained. messed up my driver fender pretty good. couple months later, turning right up the driveway to lexus and a;sldknpouheqrgk.... right fender all jacked... i just hammered and dolly'd them back to shape, and flattened the lip flat front to back...

ive had the same problem when i had my GS. toyota fenders are notorious for that. the fenders are not as strong as the nissan ones. experience from my Q. its only like 150 to repair and paint. thats how much i paid for mine to get fixed

Sorry to hear about that, bro!

The fender thing is pretty common with the 2GS when you're running aggressive offsets.
Sure, the car will go down the road straight with no clearance issues, the problem
occurs when going into/out of a steep driveway or incline with the wheels turned
all the way to one side. As the suspension compresses, the tire hits the fender arch.
Sometimes this will just pull the lip down; other times it can kink the fender.

I had this happen twice on my GS. Before the car was painted last year, we
completely trimmed off the offending lip on the front fenders.

A few people here have given me grief about how my front wheels could probably
move out 6mm or so, but because I run a large tire (255/30-20) I didn't want to
risk damaging the fenders, especially on a recently painted car with a unique color
and PPG's Vibrance product (it's fairly new, I'm not yet sure how "matchable" the
metallic sparkle is).

I would suggest rolling both front fender LIPS back in as far as possible and then
getting a large/strong friend you help you "pull" the fenders out. By hand, a friend
of mine and I were able to pull the top of the arch out about 4-5mm to gain a bit .
of extra clearance. This will have the effect of making the wheels look a bit less
aggressive bit will gain tons of peace of mind when going in/out of driveways.

Another thing I try to do is start the turn and then turn the wheels back straight
ahead as the suspension compresses, entering the driveway at a shallow angle.
Basically, if the wheels are going straight ahead, they can't hit the fender.

In this shot you can envision how the tire would get pushed into the fender arch
when the suspension is compressed.

it actually unrolled my fender. im still contemplating what i want to do. normally im pretty careful, this one time i was actually rushing it. i think i'll leave it as is for now. i got it alright.
