I've heard that if you get the Navi on your car that you have the ability to convert it or buy something to give you the ability to play Dvd's and view it through the navi screen is this correct?? if so i am planning on picking up a GS w/ navi and wanted to know if there was a DIY for it or if there is something you need to buy if people know anywhere to purchase this.. thanks for any info..

Depends on the car I guess. There is a way to do it in the newer GS, the 06. Ive never heard of anyone being able to do it in the 2nd Gen, but I could be wrong.

my buddy was going to do it in his tl, but the wiring diagram is just like a huge cluster fuk...he took it up to sound advice (tweeter to some of you) and rollin sound (a really reputable stereo shop around here in jacksonville) and they both said hell no to him...but it is possible ;)

there are units out there like nav-tv or avelectronic that make those modules to plug in your factory harness from their unit.......you then have to buy a seperate dvd player and would be able to play it on your factory nav screen.......search for those names (i forgot the links).......price for those units range from $400- 800.....

PAC audio makes the interface for the factory navi screens, yes to switch and watch DVDs and Navi. These interfaces costs $$$ but its definately worth it from doing a couple of nissans where i work at.
