I just installed a new alpine head unit CDA-9856 in my previa and after about an hour and a half it shut down due to hi temp. This has happend twice since i installed it 2 days ago. Has anyone else had this problem? Could the head unit be defective or do i need to insulate it from the air vents? previa guys will know what i mean.

Same thing happened to my Alpine IVA900...it just basically fried its own circuits. :tickedoff:
Had to send it to Alpine for repairs to "upgrade" as they say it, upgrade the base board.
