is it possible to have a VIP style car but also keep its VIP style and make it a car that also puts out high out puts of horsepower. If so what platform should you choose to obtain both the elegancy of the VIP style and high horsepower

Almost any of the classic platforms have engines packing heat or at least a lot of potential to be unlocked.
Twin-turbo V8 is my favourite, just because it's such a badass sounding setup. And it's big.

It's totally feasible. We have a few members already with such mods and later I'll be doing the same.

IMO It's cool to build mad power in a VIP ride however, I would still drive REAL SLOW.

if u can get more HP out of the car why not? I dont think HP makes a difference on VIP. Alot of the cars in japan have it why not. DO IT DO IT DO IT hahaha =)

I wouldnt mind more hp and a better tuned transmission in the Q.
It just needs that extra kick so you can show the sport car guys that they just got smoked by a full sized 4door sedan. haha

i always thought the vip is SUPPOSE to have the horse power to back them up
it suppose to came with 300+ from the factory so u dont have to mod the engine and u can work on the visual

I would not be able to resist building up the engine in a Vip car.... they're such tempting platforms!
Besides, anything that isn't FWD and/or under 200hp makes me giddy. :(

Because the auto industry specializes in vip styling and builds cars around it? if that were the case, we wouldn't be 'building' cars, we'd just buy them from the factory...:pat:

I think he meant like all of the "True" Platforms are high powered and that's one of the reasons why they were chosen to be an OG platform.

I'm boosted and I've been focused on the engine mostly. Now that I'm pretty much done with it. I should be going air soon and a little more aggressive with my wheels. The only thing stopping me has been NYC streets... they suck.
So yes, boosted + bippu = very happy man

i drive a cressida... im am going for a vip styled car (full face slammed clean white car) but once i blow the 7m ima put in a 2jz non-vvti with many n/a mods with a w58 5 speed. 4doorlife. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
with the rear camber that some of you guys run, i think more hp would = new rear tires every 5 hours LOL.
if you can pay to play, then why not.

Yeah i got a mx83 also. So far I've done an na-t 7m, shimmed accumulators, 17x7/17x9 Staggered Sportmax 962, custom coilover setup, hks super dragger exh, and a bn sports kit. The turbo and kit are no longer on the car but it did look dope with it on. GL man
Ok back on topic yeah I've noticed that most of the "vip style cars" in japan have some sort of work done under the hood. IIRC didn't that LS430 that wald made have a blitz compressor on it? That and all the "vip" platforms in japan that toyota makes that come 1jz/2jz... its just asking to be modded!

if you happen to have a F50 Q45 they can play with your shift points and fine tune it electronicly at the dealer.

There was a 2JZGTE UCF21 featured in one of the VIP magazines a few issues back in the shunsoku VIP section. that would be my dream...2JZGTE in a LS... There's a member on ClubLexus that has done it, I'd drool all over that car.

M5, E63, the top of the line expensive luxury cars are nice with power so why make them look nicer and go faster as well?

b/c stock cars are made to appeal to the mass in most cases. Not only power but I want my car to stop better, turn better, and look better (at least to my eyes).

Top of the line cars arent marketed to 20 sumthins. Most at that age dont have the income to purchase a high end family 4dr car anyway.
...or they Lease them to front :smiley-rofl:
i have decided to build an all-motor beast of a vq for my a32, although my build will probably end up "vip inspired" at best. my thing is if you're pumping tons of money into exterior, interior, suspension, and ice your engine should keep up with the rest of the car. i chose all motor because i've just never been a fan of turbo/sc/juice.

Yeah, I agree. Not to say I dislike cars that have minimal engine modifications with all their money/attention going to the exterior and suspension but it's always great to see a well balanced car.

Exactly. Well balanced. Well put! My sig says all my list of mods as of this post and aesthetics wise, I only plan on buying a wald lip kit, paint job, garson curtains for the rear (we're expecting our 2nd child and trust me, they hate light when they sleep) and MAYBE new leather skins b/c mine aren't perfect. Everything after that is gonna be strictly maintenance or performance oriented w/ maybe an occasional set of new rims. I already have my e-cutouts on the way and are in the works of piecing together a s/c kit. I'm just stuck on if i wanna go with a m-series eaton or centrifugal type... :giggity: So basically, in the end it'll look nice and quiet rolling but if i want it loud and proud for a few moments, I can.

engine mods on a VIP seems more of a US thing. rarely see them in japanese VIP mags
In japan they would do the basic shit you do to any turbo car.....boost controller, intercooler, intake, exhaust,, blow me off valve etc.......
