is that carbon fiber in a onestar VIP CAR????? oh no the debate goes on...lol...i still think cf is ok..as for the shift knob. it looks like a one off shiftknob redone with onestar fabric...i mean u think wald would make something like that?i dont think so..

^^^i agree...doesn't look like something wald would produce...gotta be custom as far as the red leather is concerned...maybe its a carbon fiber shift knob with a really nice wald sticker? beats me...looks nice though...

at first i thought the cf was just a reflection, so i was really asking more about the red leather. but yeah... i want it just like that. that is a wald shift knob, i found it on the wald japanese site. so how insane would it be to buy a wald knob and have it recovered?

i'm really feelin onestar if y'all haven't noticed. i think they are the future of vip. they are building vip cars that nobody can deny, with a modern twist.

It's probably not that hard to have it recovered. Aren't you setting up your car in a black on black/cf scheme anyways? Why not just buy that shiftknob and call it a day?

Hmm....here's how I would do it...wrap the shift knob in saran wrap and fiberglass the area you want covered in leather...release the mold and shape it exactly how you want the leather to sit...in this case, its the back half of the shift knob...and as you can see, the leather doesn't fully wrap around the knob...then make get the material you want and have someone sew a nice stitched edge around the fabric...then adhere the leather to the fiberglass piece and stretch out the ends so it looks nice and tight...when adhere the fiberglass piece to the shift knob...seems easy to do...just gotta find a good upholsterer, if that's even a word...

I think it might even be simpler than that... likely that leather piece on the original knob is a seperate piece that I bet can be pried off and unwrapped

Firelizard, you're right my bad...hard to see the actual pic from my sidekick...haha...

In that case...maybe some white leather dye then dip it in red?

i'm doin a black on red scheme now. i think i'mma try and have it rewraped with a piece of hide from the same people making my seat covers. then i'm going to try and have a cover by the guy making my carbon fiber. i found a weave i like so i'm hoping i can have evrything made in that. i think you're right firelizard. now, where do i get my hands on this badboy?

Hit up a vendor.

The only reason onestar's cars are so awesome, is becuase they do an all red interior with black accents, or more red if anything...not that much black. what are your plans?

a lot of black on the outside, completely red interior, cf accents through out the vehicle. i'm really hoping to achieve something similar to that majesta.

If you can pull it off, it'll look awesome. gotta go all out on the red like they did though, otherwise it'll look too sporty.
