I'm interested too.

I have a friend with Landcruiser of all rides who is curious if they remove their rear leaf springs if they add airbags ?

i've tried googling but all i come up with is for sale ads with little technical info.

i also would like to know what choices there are as well. the only name i know of is air runner.

What specifically do you want to know? The mechanics of the cylinder? The mechanics of the valves? The electronics?

I, personally, would like to know how I need to modify these struts to accomodate an air suspension:

I know that for coilovers, you usually remove about 40mm from the middle of the strut tube (generally, where the spring perch is), remove the perch and use short-stroke dampers. I guess my specific questions are what kind of bag should I use and should I still shorten the tube and run short-stroke dampers?

Thanks!

Awesome. I think that explains the questions I have.

I guess I should run the short-stroke dampers to get the lowest possible ride height without bottoming out the dampers, yes?

heh... too much "american graffiti" in my youth :crazy2:

you had to be there... gold plated dayton wire wheels with whitewalls, chrome mudflaps, back window covered in some gaudy lowrider club logo... why why why???
