Got an idea from the large request for the JP neck pads to sold in Tan/Cream.

And was wondering, is there any possible way out there to dye neck pads? Mainly the white ones of course.

Any input or advice is more then welcomed.

Thanks

there is leather/vinyl dye but with the stiching i would expect it to come out not so great.

It's not the stiching that you have to worry about its the shade of the dye. Dying interior parts is VERY sketchy because they will NEVER turn out %100 the same.

as long as its all black, im good.

ive talked to some and researched a lot in this field. they said that most the leather dyes out there are made for leather products that dont receive much beating. and on top of that, it is a different leather material.

its very long and complicated to explain. but basically none of them recommend it. but i want to try and see for myself. has anyone tried using the dyes made for boots and other leather accessories?

the only other option is a professional shop, which will cost to dye the product than what it cost for the item itself.

I got lucky with my JP leather pillows and tissue holder..they match the Connelly leather in my Jag to a tee. But yes, the various colors of beige and tan would be a long shot to match too many cars. And yes, the stitching would get dyed as well and come out a darker color of brown..not sure how that would look, might look okay though...you never know.

If it comes out a lil brown, i wont mind. Im sure it would blend in well. The q45 is a mix of light cream, brown dash, and the wood grain. But for other cars im not sure.
