View Full Version : How would you build you VIP car?

As I sit back and puff on my top secret stash... i came across the J-Tuned coverage on A/F. I noticed that the Q45 and the 2 LS's had a certain theme...they all had JP kits and wheels. Now how would you build your VIP car. Those cars are by far some of the sickest and dopest VIP cars in the United States but I would never build my car like that. I know they got great discounts on their JP parts but those cars looked like JP built them. Maybe I'm into a little more into uniqueness and/or agressive style but I'd rather build a car with a certain kit and my own personal favorite wheels. If your personal favorite is a JP kit with 19" scar's then by all means, it's a great combo. I'd rather have a bold world kit with garson deep racing polish and negative offset...What are your opinons?

Mix and match. Nobody in the VIP magazines stick to one manufacturer so obviously they dont really care. They dont even have the same bodykit parts in some cases. Just pick what you like and be original. Otherwise it would be a very limited tuning style!

I know I'll probably look at this in a few days and change my mind but, here goes.
Assuming I have pick an actual Vip platform, I'd start with a Y33 Cima (black with tan or cream leather interior) and immediately install air suspension with digital control. From there I'd go with the full Mode Parfume kit, because it's satisfyingly simple. For wheels, Riverside TrafficStar DTX, with spec mild enough to ride low with not too much camber. And then make it a 2 door rag top.

I will quote what has been said before. When you use all the parts from the same manufacturer you are going to get the look that the designer had tried to achieve. When you mix and match, especially with rare or diferent combos you can make something that is really your own style.

Cookie cutter style is no fun. When sponsors come into play you don't have much a choice though.

Exactly...I rather mod for myself...pay a lot extra and be unique...not build something that has already been done/seen before.

I had a blowdesign kit on order for my new Q :D but after seeing it on white, it just doesnt flow like on black.

For some reason, when I saw it on white, I got dissapointed :'( ....The kit is so fucking hot on black :coolsmiley: It's off to a good home now. I have a new kit on order that I think flows incredibly well with white

IMO, the hot kits for white are :Answer, Aimgain,Sessions and XXXXXXXX... the last one is my kit :crazy2:

Wheels: trafficstar

suspension: Airrunner or Bold World

Brakes: ENDLESS for life ...this will probably be the first mod i do after dropping her

I would like to build a 94-96 Q45:

- some sort of aggressive vip kit
- widebody
- molded whale tail
- really wide dish type wheels
- air

Well...the questions isn't really how you would build your VIP car...but what do you think about building a car that emulates and is a mirror image of something that has already been done before?
