Okay i'm looking to score some puddle lights for my UCF31 what's a good brand?
also do i have to drill into the car to instlall them?

There's a ton of brands and their range in price is vast as well..also vast is the amount of possibilities that you can mount them. Personally I flush mount them inside the side skirts.

So i'm gonna have to run a lip/bodykit to run puddle lights?

Whats the best way of drilling the hole in the sideskirts? I just got some amber ones for my GS.

hole saw
or the nifty drill bits with teh flat heads for holes, i cant remember the exact name.

Ok thats what I was thinking, I should put a block of wood flush with the base of the sideskirt and drill from the top of the sideskirt down thru it correct?

i just drill through the bottom up
so if it splinters as you go through, it is on the part you cant see.

THen sand the edges after you finish and call it a day.`

2nd...and I also use a hole saw. In addition I put masking tape over the area to lessen the chances of pulls.

stupid question ... but are they illegal? i want to get them but i dont want to get pulled over for them.

it would depend on your local laws i would imagine if you wire them to be on all the time yea you could get pulled over for them personally i wired them to come on with my door lights when i open my door

Yes, im pretty sure they are illegal in cali. It's like neon lights, it causes distractions for other drivers.
