    Hey everyone

    i own a 1994 infiniti Q45

got a BS job that i really can't get out of cuz im in school and been working there two years already

My car is rumbling from the bad HESS gas i used back in the beginning of April (I>E BEWARE of HESS GAS) YES i used premium, but once i pumped it full and had some fuel cleaner the car just started rumbling, not really giving me a rough idle because the needle is usually steady or really low, like around 500 sometimes, however i changed up my radiator a couple of months ago, and now the car idles high in park or neutral (SIGH), but its more like the fuel lines are gunked up, any solutions?

My tranny is definitely one of the reasons the car is throwing a CEL and also has the SLIP and TCS OFF lights lit up, and the take off is horrible now. i wanna take the messures urmyhero4now took to see if that will resolve my problem.

its giving me terrible gas mileage because of these problems.

BUT i still can't see myself parting with the car unless the gas hits 5/gal, which it will so, i might just blow this one up since it prolly will never sell by then.

    somebody Pray for me

cuz im looking down the barrel of a fwd economy car, which i have never owned, nor really intend to. is there a RWD, 4 door, 4 cylinder car in existence in america? not looking for a sports car really, and the closest thing i can find is a gs300, which isn't bad but isn't first on my list.

(SIGH) i just needed to vent, but i am grateful tho, that i have a job, LIFE, a car, and free education HalleluYah.

NOW does anyone have any idea how to fix any of these problems, cuz rebuilding this tranny at this stage would be out of the question, and i dont feel like shelling out extra doe on another engine, to run dirty lines through it.

    HELP!!!!

Honestly dude, sometimes you gotta know if the scene isn't for you.

"luxury cars" tend to have high price maintenance. Your car is sounding like it needs maintenance. Go get your codes checked. You could have a fouled from the bad gas, I.E. o2 sensor, or knock sensor. Find out.

Transmission slipping? Try to do a drain and fill to see if that helps your problem. If not, start sourcing a new transmission.

Fuel lines gunked up? Throw some fuel system cleaner in there...

You could swap an sr20 in there...but that'd be losing power, maybe a ka24de, just a thought.

Keep at it, and if it's too much of a money pit, ditch it, get a new car later.

Let me help you out man. I agree that this, like any automotive venture, is/can be pricey. However, that isn't a reason to give up on something. Having a bum job, although adds to your stress, is just apart of life. These challenges exist to direct you, not to disable you. So you don't like your job, get a different one. Having car trouble? Fix it or don't fix it. Man up my friend, cuz no ones gonna do it for you. Trust me, you'll get out exactly what you put in... You don't need prayers or luck IMO, you need faith and confidence.

    ^^^good advice,

i know thats why i have stayed with the car, i dont have plans of parting with the car, thats why i asked if anyone has run into these troubles. i know life experiences are meant to guide me...oh and i do believe in prayer but you're right i need the perseverance, because the lesson behind it is prolly whats gonna get me to the next step in my life anyways. only if the car didn't have these problems so closely together, at least that would give me enough time to save up in between. haha.

maybe i can swap a z32 5 speed in there... just a thought haha lol.

honestly i am gonna fix each problem individually as per my wallets condition and if the car shits on me. im movin on...

    thanks once again.

anyone have an a/ccompressor, the guy that was parting out the black g50 never replied

im not familiar with your engine in particular but i knows theres usually a lot to diy as far as cleaning old parts. sensors also, and its not too exspensive if you diy usually. i think the first thng you need to do is shell out some coin to have sombody tell you whats actually wrong with it. then roll up them sleeves...

lmao @ 4 cylinder rwd sedan. does drivetrain really matter at that point? you guys and rwd...

at least this wasn't another "i can't bang my friend thread" (which is what i was expecting).

Yeah these cars are old. You have to expect things to go wrong and from Q45 techs who work on these cars all day long they require alot of maintenance yearly. It's not going to be anything but love for the car that you keep it. Glad to hear your car is doing good. I would start looking into replacing the fuel pump since they tend to go out suddenly. And do a transmission flush.
The TCS lights are probably bad relays under the battery tray. I will be replacing my soon but they don't cause problems with driving so it shouldn't be an issue. These cars have terrible gas mileage anyway so not much you can but not drive the car. try replacing the fuel filter too.

replaced the fuel filter already, and the plugs, yeah im gonna look into the fuel pump, can i use a 300zx or walbro 255 or whatever, the Q actually only started giving me bad gas mileage when i used bad gas and the car started misfiring, ever since i did that little tune up its pretty good. comes close to my two forty actually imho.

NO definitely do not skimp on the Fuel Pump. If your fuel pump is loud sound like bees in the gas tank. then you need to replace it ASAP so you don't kill the FPCU. the Q45 pump is a multi speed pump which is why you need to use the OEM one.

ok cool, also i wanna make sure that all the water in the gas tank, from that bad gas that i used in march is completely out of the system, some people told me to use denatured alcohol to evaporate or just a regular water evaporator, have you ever had this problem before,

and this is def a technical question right here but when i brake the car seems to rumble as if my tension rods need to be replaced, is that a major issue when it comes to g50, thanks in advance

Rumble almost sounds like your disks need to be turned. I can't think of any other reason why the car would shake.

I only use premium gas from places like 76 and Exxon in my car so I haven't had any issue with water in the tank but when I did my pump change i cleaned the bottom of the tank with a microfiber cloth. sucked cause my tank was like 1/2-3/4 full. thought the hair on my arms were gonna melt.
