Don't go getting too offended. I'm sure The criticism is not of your car as a show car.
It is more a commentary on what is required to get it to VIP status.
Personally the colour is quite striking and nice (a little over the top for me but I can be a conservative and boring kind of guy.) I'm sure it is even a really good job.
Heres my take on it- Because VIP is not a thing where you really need to accessorize it up to the bream it can be hard for people to know when to say when.
No amount of JDM stickers on the doors, anodized blow off valves and waste gates ,chameleon paint ,28" rims and racing seats will make a vehicle more VIP.
That, in my opinion is where the mistake is made. The car really rests it's main impression on it's wheels stance and fitment. It is probably the most fundamental "rule", Everything else is just gravy. If you get the wheels "wrong" (even though it doesn't sit right with me to call it "wrong") you can confuse the look you are setting out to achieve. It's really something you cant change or negotiate on . Remember that vip is supposed to be an exclusive, luxury even, 'gangster' look, so racey wheels and stuff just don't fit in, just like heavy chrome full faced wheels and silly camber don't fit into a rice look.
I don't write the rules.
Ps,I think the lambo's are just played out regardless of their cred in the scene.
Don't let all my or anyone elses ramblings sway you if you've got something in mind but I thought I'd take the opportunity to explain any misconceptions without trying to hurt anyones feelings.
