Sorry to see this so late ... .

Well What color over all choice are you choosing ? one color or leaving the same.. Most members in the scene havent went wild with the Vip scene but hawaii has some that chose wild colors. (one color)

as far as having a certain look I would say it really about execution, what other wheels do you have in mind. and or get spacers to flush them out and we will get a great idea of what you are putting together.

Hey James I am going to go with a solid blue probably like the bottom part of my car.

What size spacers would you recommend? Crap I don't have a pic with it raised with the new wheels on there. I will work on that.

The 20x11 rear tuck so tight when it is slammed that two pieces of paper could not fit between the fender and the wheel. I agree that more lip on the front would have been ideal and I may make a change to get the look that I want but I need to understand what exactly makes the VIP look work as far as wheel fitment goes. And yes I have read many many posts about it already but maybe if I can apply it to something that I am somewhat familiar with like my wheels it will make more sense.
Rule no#1 build your car to make your self happy not other people on any fourm ..at the end of the day you are the one that is flipping the 10 to 15 k for this build .. keep it simple keep it clean .. and loose the WINGS ...

look around and pick cars from the fourm that you like , use photo shop to mix and match the paint, rims and what ever else you are planning to add.once you are happy build the car to that spec ..

i find that the best looking cars are the ones that are simple ....

I think if u closed up all the vents in your front lip, it'll look hella cleaner. As for classification, I think it's neo-VIP. I am by no way certified to say what's what, the goal is to build a car and walk out of it n be like "dayam that shit is gangsta!!" haha. All in all, I like the car, just not a fan of blue.

Don't go getting too offended. I'm sure The criticism is not of your car as a show car.
It is more a commentary on what is required to get it to VIP status.
Personally the colour is quite striking and nice (a little over the top for me but I can be a conservative and boring kind of guy.) I'm sure it is even a really good job.

Heres my take on it- Because VIP is not a thing where you really need to accessorize it up to the bream it can be hard for people to know when to say when.
No amount of JDM stickers on the doors, anodized blow off valves and waste gates ,chameleon paint ,28" rims and racing seats will make a vehicle more VIP.
That, in my opinion is where the mistake is made. The car really rests it's main impression on it's wheels stance and fitment. It is probably the most fundamental "rule", Everything else is just gravy. If you get the wheels "wrong" (even though it doesn't sit right with me to call it "wrong") you can confuse the look you are setting out to achieve. It's really something you cant change or negotiate on . Remember that vip is supposed to be an exclusive, luxury even, 'gangster' look, so racey wheels and stuff just don't fit in, just like heavy chrome full faced wheels and silly camber don't fit into a rice look.
    I don't write the rules.
Ps,I think the lambo's are just played out regardless of their cred in the scene.
Don't let all my or anyone elses ramblings sway you if you've got something in mind but I thought I'd take the opportunity to explain any misconceptions without trying to hurt anyones feelings.

Thanks man I am not offended at all by the comments. I just want to try to understand a little more about the VIP scene and what direction I need to take my current build in order to fit in. The car will always be a show car therefore it will always have say an over the top audio system and things like that. But my goal is to clean it up and get more of the classy luxury and less of the tuner look out of it. Thank you all for the comments thus far.

as far as the interior goes, its a good start, but it needs some more luxury flash. if that makes sense....youve got a great start all around. but like i said before, get rid of the doors and u are pretty well on your way to changing in the right direction.

Yeah by that I am assuming that you mean curtains, head rests, pillows and other stuff I have seen in VIP cars?

Pillows and tables always seem to set it off but they're the cherry on top of the proverbial cake.
    Oh and..
If I were still into loud stereos and tech like you seem to be I'd keep it how it is but probably paint the bright blue panels black...cut down on gauges or maybe blending them in with leather trim over the top and I guess woodgrain somewhere couldn't hurt if you go that with the tables.. Look at bentley's etc they do the sport/luxury thing pretty nice. I don't know what it is but I would love to see where this one goes.......good luck.

as for wheels: Not many people seem to run these http://www.fabulous.co.jp/products/w...ound/index.asp

not just, i was going with more woodgrain and less painted interior. maybe some nice new seat covers (see the interior sub-forum and some of the interior threads).

just a little bit extra to set you apart. what you have isnt bad, its just not "VIP" if u wanna categorize it.

lol don't let any of these guys tell you what to do. In my opinion, your car is already V.i.P. Status.

Do what you like, is the most important part here. If you went to japan they have wilder cars and people seem to accept it but I don't know why some people here don't classify your car as V.I.P. I'm sorry but wheels and stance alone aren't V.I.P.

The only thing that is extreme is the lambo doors, but they are nicely done. The front lips, sideskirts could do without much vents. Remember V.I.P. isn't all about retarded cambers and such. For me I wouldn't like my wheel slanted, to me I think it's rediculous. Just flush is fine.

To the guy that said you don't need a boost gauge? If you've ever owned a turbocharged vehicle a boost gauge is a must. Also. wide-band, and oil temp is a must. It's just the pillar could be cleaner without the blue.

Your rims are already good, don't need to do anything with it. I think it's just the stance could be more aggressive but what it is now is fine. My homeboy bought wald rims and now he regrets it because it looks plain and ugly. Name brands don't mean jack . It's all about flavor. Now he wants one with a polished lip and some more chrome to it. To me at night, the chrome parts really sets off a luxury car. I love it. I am looking to get the 20' fabulous profound rims. You can check it out at their website if you just want new rims. Good luck man.

This is not the post of an individual who is educated on "V.I.P."

Please sir, I implore you to read up in the vip-101 section (not sure how you got out) and take it on yourself to read the entire base of literature before throwing out opinions on whats what.

this is a much humbler response and more of what i hope the newer people would preach, this is a man who has obviously befriended dom and knows enough to give a very valid opinion.

Ive given you my personal thoughts on the matter, but the difference between these posts is so extreme i couldnt help but point it out.

good luck on your build, i cant wait to see the outcome

Yeah okay and just because I'm not a mod or has 1000+ post don't mean I am new to this scene/culture. This is my opinion and my observation from a Japanese point of view. What is V.I.P. to you may I ask? And before people go forum jumping me, read what I said.

Nothing on it was offensive or whatsoever. I complimented on his car because I already see his car as V.I.P style. Maybe not the aero-kits, and interior paints but that's what he wants. So I told him to do what he wants not what these forums folks wants.

This is the thing about forums I dislike, people jumping to conclusions. I've had my share of bans for being argumentive with the mods/users but I don't mind because I don't break rules, well not often.

To really know what VIP I suggest you first live in Japan, and study/ask them about what this culture truly means.

People said his car was too flashy, IMHO it's just a little sporty with the kit. Looks VIP to me. A VIP car does not have to be a certain color.

And also too much gauges? Serious? Read turbo-charging 101. You need gauges!!!!!

Elite - What you don't need is for a VIP car is 100+wood-grain parts ,brand name rims that looks cheap, crazy over sized muffler tips that don't add to performance of any sorts, fusa knots, cup holders+tables that weren't meant for your car, diamond valve caps, headrest,"vip car cologne, junction produce shift knob, slanted rims, +etc..

In the end do what you want and make sure in the end everything must flow right. Don't believe what some people here tell you, they think VIP is all about wheels+fitment. It's not true.

you need to read the title to this thread, it says HELP me with my VIP style build. his new bumper, is not vip style, his wheels, are not vip style, his car is for one not vip styled in the least. because its on air with big wheels does not make it VIP. you really need to do some more research before you start spewing misinformation. true vip style is more elitest than you might want to think. cheap parts get you no where.

you wont get a ban here for having spirited discussions, but misinformation will probably not be tolerated for long. read some of the threads in vip 101. just because you THINK you are right in what you are saying doesnt mean you are. there is stying a luxury vehicle, and then there is vip styling. just because he owns a luxury vehicle and mods it does not make it vip.

Dang Airmax are my new parts considered to be cheap?

    Body Kit = 2000+
    Wheels = 4000+
    Roof Spoiler = $400

That is just some of the new stuff. I know you can definitely spend a lot more on different parts if you want to but is the stuff that I bought consider cheap or low quality?
