thanks all! And yeah.. I dunno! I really really want too. But other color choices are tempting me too. I just found out there is a snow flake pattern carbon fiber.. yeah lol so I dunno maybe I need a few F50s so i can do different color interiors with exteriors.

Choices are Red ext, not pearl. Red seats and lower door and trim panels with carbon fiber instead of wood

Pearl white with same red interior

    Black with same red interior

and that almost mustang grabber blue with Navy Blue on upper dash and door panels, and all below the trim all cream color. Kind of like the Bentleys bring the exterior color inside.

    lots to think about lol

Right?? it sucks. I think the red would be hotness. I have only seen one bright red F50. Most are candy or a darker red. Best part is, if i go that bright 350z blue its a nissan color still and does not exist on chassis. Red does not either, and white does not come with black interior. If it was all tan interior I would be hating life right about now lol.

and this is what it will look like with the 06 upgrade. Really excited for this mod just cause its a huge step for me in what others have been doing on this board, and japan alike. The trunk lines will line up perfect with the diffuser lines for the exhaust. And! since the gtr and the Q are damn near the same width, I will not have to chop it in half really. The only thing I see that might be a problem is the indentation where the exhaust is and how the bumper is. But will see, hopefully berry berry soon

    GTR u say...hmmm

I def ditch the quad-tip(i like on my TL Maybe ls tips?

Hye, i see you refinished the wood in a matte finish, is there enough wood there to restain? I like the darkermaple of the 05-06 though it looks like the wood is ontop of some plastic. thanks

I doubt that Nissan build actual WOODEN panels, it's just a piece of plastic dipped in wood grain pattern.... only the actual high-end car manufacturers use real wood

If you got panels in a different colour/grain, just get them re-dipped. To learn more: google water transfer printing / hydro graphics.

actually, on my y33, it's a super thin piece of wood sandwiched between plastic, it looks like, that's been painted over. the thickness is like construction paper. i noticed it when i accidentally popped off the wood grain portion of my cupholder cover haha

Yeah.. the bumper is too much work. Well I shouldn't say too much work, it just doesn't look right for the amount of work needed to make it look nice.

I should have some more updates soon. Sorry been slackin like no other!!

    ^ so true
I had a ton of body work ideas on paper for my Y33 but when it actually came down to doing it I scraped over half the ideas just too time consuming for subtle changes...

14hrs spent on one side alone. I figure if this new product I am going to learn to use, I better learn it right :) and what is the best way of doing that? Doing it on a car that needs a full repaint with bad paint! I should have wet sanded from 2500 to 4000 grit and done the 5 step on it. Still lots of heavy scratches. If I am going to sand this car, I am sanding it to repaint it and I am not at that point yet.

Interesting... what church did u get it from, catholic/baptist/mormon/etc...?

Oh, did you have to work for it, or does it come already in a cup? Wouldn't want anyone to get tricked by the priest in doing something that's not needed. LOL

So, I think i F%cked up the rear fender pull and radius. Not sure WHY I just noticed it now.. But the fender comes to a point in the arch rather than staying flat. So If I lower the rear, camber out, the wheel will hit fender at the 2'oclock and 11 o'clock and still have 15mm before the top center "12 o'clock" position of the rim hits the fender. Dunno how I missed this, or yet why I did it. Pondering on how to even fix it. The only choice I have is to take a few mm steal rod make the arch again but this time hug the wheel more in the center. I think I may have to actually add metal to my fender and blend it in some how. Or put the fender roller on, and force the edged of the fender out to compensate. Cause that rear part of fender that comes into bumper goes inward tooo much.

    pics coming soon

this is kinda a tame version of what I am dealing with right now.. just the center part of fender is out more

Alright, so Way WAY to much stuff going on and totally neglected the Q project.. but since I was not driving it for a while I decided to tear into it.

    pics speak for them selves

look how bad that casting was! this is far from smoothing stage. need a longer tool to get in deeper

just a little sanding made a huge difference! cant wait to get more into the galley

I am not even bothering with port maching. I dont have time to do it, I would if this was the motor going into a lmp2 car how ever
