my bee homey. i posted that from my phone. I didnt mean to be curt or sound like a dick either, which after reading my post again it sounds like "cool story, but your shit sucks" which is not at all how i meant to come off.. i see the notes now.

i think the outcome of the ornament is great though!

You could've have easily cleaned that infiniti mess with a polisher and a very light polish like Meguairs M205.

I’m speaking from experience. I removed my "M45" badge from the right side of my trunk.

As for the final result....Im not a real fan fan of adding phony badges to cars and that old infiniti ring looks real tackey.

Stockstar: You are right. I could have taken care of it but I didn't, move on. Considering this is not about how to remove the residue from the infiniti emblem. I'll take care of that when I am good and ready to.

As for phony badges.......this really makes no sense to me but w/e

Thanks to those who appreciate what this thread was about.

Good luck, it's a really easy DIY just some time to invest for something fun and a way to add your own flavor. (Meaning your own pick of color to the emblem.)

Good luck and remember to try Meguiars M205 followed by a finishing polish like the 3m Ultra FinaSe and then wax.

NOPE...didn't work on mine. Even had the body shop guy do it with all his tools and accessories. It is residue, it is missing paint.

Residue and missing paint are different things.
