Default What do I need in order to put Nav. on non-Nav F50?

I have searched the how-to's? And tried searching it up but I came out with nothing. Maybe one of you guy's can give me a hand with this. Also how to put factory rear cam? Thanks.

probably have to do something completely custom. There were F50s sold with no nav?

Not sure if it's worth it. You would need to check if you have the rear wiring and plugs in the trunk for the Nav DVD player. Then you will need to install the GPS antenna, replace the front 5.6" screen with the 7" screen provided the wiring is already there.

let me chime in on this situation cause wiring is porn for me haha

It is easier to go big, rather than just going home. I wish I picked up a full out tech package on mine as well since it came with radar guide which is the only thing I am missing on mine.

As the late Brendan (rip homie) He did not have the recline seats on his car. and there is no plug for it. You will need ALL the wiring for it to work. That means relays, and even the dvd unit in the trunk and mounting hardware the antenna etc. Do you need it? meh I hardly use mine, since phones have them now and i am to lazy to get an update dvd.

I am always on the look out for a F50 that has more than my car cause I will buy it no matter. I am a hoarder when it comes to project cars. I have been through I do not know how many seats for the F50. And soon to be going on to another set but that is on the hush! haha. Since this is no 240, its a lot harder to wire in factory stuff and, sadly add aftermarket stuff too. Not impossible, but at what point does it out weigh what you could just go buy one that has it. If you were looking to do seat swaps and adding electrics, that isnt to hard. but the gps thing that is going above and beyond since not many part this out from a junked car.

If you did find one however that did have it. It will be very difficult and time consuming to get the entire harness from the car. Since I am pretty sure you need the engine bay harness as well since a lot of them came with adjustable sport sus and base did not. I am not sure if the SMJ has the same wire location for ones that do have or not.. So you might be able to get away with certain things.

I say, study study study! get a fsm for the one you want, and compare it against the one you have. Count pin location against wire color to each plug, you may be in luck with only adding the dash, and inner harness.

Besides what everyone is saying, I dont know if the F50s are the same (in fact I doubt it), but on the 04-08 Nissan Maximas, to switch from non-nav to factory nav, the front windshield had to also be replaced because there is an antenna built in..

Much easier just to go aftermarket even though that will still pose problems..

Realize this thread is old...but might get an answer here...

How easy/hard is it to hook up aftermarket sub and amp in the Y50 and Y34? I've searched google and fresh alloy but haven't been able to find a very clear verdict. I've ran setups in older 240 and Accords (thats easy). I just don't know how to work around this new Bose system.

EDIT: Found this post (which should be about the same, right?) But where do I run the RCA too? http://www.vipstylecars.com/forums/s...ck-Bose-System
