Shift Season Opener presented by Detail Rack 707 and West Coast Hydrographix
I realize when you begin to work on your own projects you have the tendency to get behind on a lot of “other” things. One being event coverage. I’ve been keeping to myself as of late to figure out some stuff after parting ways with Wheelwell in early January. Never officially mentioned it outside of my inner circles until now. Either way, It was a great experience and I wish them the best in the future. One thing is for sure, it gave me the confidence to pick up the podcast idea and actually launch it. I do hope you all have had a chance to check it out.
When my good friends from West Coast Hydrographix and Detail Rack hit me up about their event, I told them I would bring out a car to support since it was going to be held in Alameda, CA. They are also in Endless Projects so we brought out a small amount of cars as well. These local shows are a lot of fun for me. I get to hang out with folks I don’t get to see often at other events. I just think having these type of events are good for our community. It gives people an idea on what to expect before trying to enter a larger scale event. It also gives me a chance to check out some cars a lot closer than I normally get to or cars that I don’t normally get to see! I do have to say, usually the numbers of VIP Cars / VIP Style Cars was very low. It’s hit or miss nowadays with the numbers of VIP Cars at a local event. Lately at least here in the Bay Area, it’s been low. Either way, I still wanted to provide coverage. I missed a row sadly, cause we left to eat in the middle of when I was taking photos. When I returned, I started socializing and completely forgot to complete the session. I didn’t caption each photo however I still wanted to share what I saw at the event. Enjoy!
Harrison’s Lexus IS F. Orange rules!
Lloyd, nicknamed Mr SS brought out his car. A very popular S14 out here in Nor Cal.
Great day to drive a convertible, Elvin brought out his SC430
Two Subaru WRX from Concept Cars Lifestyle.
Our good friend Ed from Team High Octane Tuners.
Can’t really have any event without a R35 GTR in the lineup somewhere.
I remember growing up driving one of these Toyota Camrys. Made me stop and check it out for a bit since I can probably count on one hand the amount of these Camrys I have seen at a car show.
Richard’s Nissan 370Z. Recently was on The Smoking Tires “One Take” with Matt Farah.
Part of the NvUS lineup
More cars from NvUS
NvUS has a Bippu Division now.
Clean S2k from NvUS
2nd gen GS from NvUS “Bippu Edition”
I’ve seen this LS400 a few times now. Love how it sits with the Leon Hardiritt Ordens
I can appreciate any of the old schools that come out to our events. Especially one as clean as this one was.
Want to win one of those stupid limbo contests? Well enter this CRX. I highly doubt any of the Miata’s will be lower now.
I think from the sticker on the windshield, its Under Construction.
This Datsun truck was pretty dope.
Thanks for checking this quick coverage out!
