Usually Sunday is the only day I get away from the day job. We have a good friend who regularly put together a car meet with a food trucks in the South Bay of the Bay Area. Cary, who’s LS460 is pictured above, would regularly invite me to these events. Finally, he decided to do them on Sundays with one specific event geared towards the Car community. The one yesterday was mainly put together as a fundraiser for a local college. We decided to drive down from San Francisco and finally check it out.
One of my favorite LS460s I’ve seen in awhile. Cary also owns one of my favorite IS-Fs which he told me is being redone as we speak. I can’t wait to see what’s in store with the IS-F. Not a bad choice for Cary every morning. Drive the LS460 or the IS-F?
“Burple” also made an appearance. I always enjoyed color shifting paint jobs. Love how the Work Meisters are painted in that finish. I think it really looks good. Also recently the owner changed the paint scheme of the car. Still a color shifting paint job but with a lot of flake in it. I thought it looks good. Very subtle color shifts with the new paint job which I could enjoy on my car.
Here is a closer look of the wheels and brakes setup. Can also get a better idea of the paint job. The contrast of the yellow Stoptech Calipers behind the chameleon Work Meisters looks intense.
This is Josh’s IS. Another Lexus from the Nor Cal community that is very popular. Josh brings his car to almost all of the events out here. I always run into him. Very nice guy and is always willing to talk shop with you without trying to “compare” who’s car is better. Something that I am beginning to see within the Lexus community especially online. I do hope that people realize, its not about who has the better car, but about the fact that we are fortunate to enjoy such an expensive hobby as this.
David’s LS460. We had a great conversation on that day in regards to suspension setups. Dave is sitting on Megans now and is debating on the next step. He has a few tough choices but I am pretty confident that no matter the decision, it will come out sick. So far, its a great start on this LS460.
It was a great time. Really small meet, but it wasn’t advertised to be a meet. It was nice to have a small group talk shop all day while eating good food from the different Food Trucks. If you are in the Bay Area, I highly suggest you check out the Scoops SJ Ice Cream truck. The Birthday Cake and Salted Caramel was damn good. http://twitter.com/#!/scoopssj or http://facebook.com/ScoopsSJ.
Told you Erin, I came out to hang out with my buddy Mike! See you all at Formula Drift in a few days!
